Lesson learned about flashlights: Before sunset, have second flashlight and spare batteries EASILY ACCESSIBLE and MEMORIZE THEIR ORIENTATION! Figuring out how to put in batteries with wet gloves, in the cold and dark can be disturbing... unless of course you planned on staying overnight right where you are!
